Global Ultrasound Institue (GUSI)


About: The GUSI POCUS Fellowship Program is a self-paced, personalized learning experience aimed at aiding those in teaching roles to gain proficiency in Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) for everyday clinical practice. Offering a range of program options with over 80 POCUS exam types, it's particularly beneficial for Residency Program Faculty. The program accommodates all levels of POCUS experience, employing a flipped classroom model that blends online theoretical courses with practical scanning sessions. Participants are paired with dedicated GUSI Mentors for tailored guidance, leveraging real-time tele-ultrasound technology for immediate feedback during scanning.

Details: Monthly mentorship encompasses live scanning, image interpretation, and clinical discussions. The fellowship includes a 12-month subscription to a chosen POCUS Essentials online course, 25 precepted Scan Reviews per chosen exam type, virtual mentorship sessions, and lifetime access to an online Scan Portfolio and Performance Dashboard, among other resources.

About: The Ultrasound Leadership Academy (ULA) is an ideal choice for those in need of flexibility and are ready to excel in the dynamic field of point-of-care ultrasound. Details: The program includes a comprehensive range of services, including engaging lectures, image reviews, CME, and mentorship opportunities. Benefit from regular face-to-face Zoom meetings with professors, selecting from a team of ultrasound leaders with diverse expertise.

Mentorship: Receive personal mentoring and advice to overcome obstacles in ultrasound implementation and hospital credentialing. Optionally, get personalized guidance and mentoring for research projects, certifications (RDMS, etc.), or other ultrasound-related ventures.

Simulation: Access to a SonoSim personal ultrasound simulator and a portable ultrasound machine for practical learning.

About: The POCUS Preceptor™ was created to provide in-house, hands on, point of care ultrasound training. They analyze your needs, and create a tailored, hands-on or virtual training program. and service the continental USA. International clients may inquire.

Details: The program provide hands on training using human models or at the bedside in your place of practice and provide documentation to support credentialing at your institution or provide certification. They collaborate with the Point-of-Care Ultrasound Certification Academy™ to offer high-quality, nationally-recognized certification through hands-on teaching, image interpretation, and review services essential for achieving ultrasound certification. The POCUS Preceptor also holds a partnership with Core Ultrasound. Training clients will get one year access to Fundamentals and Core Q-Bank. The Fundamentals course teaches the basics of clinical bedside ultrasound. It covers all major POCUS modalities, including cardiac, lung, aorta, renal, vascular, soft tissue, pelvic and ocular. The Core Q-Bank has 3,200 ultrasound pathology questions. Aside from providing intensive training on image acquisition and interpretation, they also perform image review of obtained ultrasounds and provide feedback.
